Ninth Development Plan (2007-2013)

Development plans are the main documents adopted by the parliament and set macro economic and social policies that are to be followed by all government institutions. The Ninth Development Plan, which covers 2007-2013 periods, was prepared with the vision of “ Turkey, a country of information society, growing in stability, sharing more equitably, globally competitive and fully completed her coherence with the European Union”.

The Ninth Plan puts forward 5 development axes and within this context, determines the institutional and structural regulations that would allow for a more efficient functioning of the market, prioritizes problems, and focuses on basic goals and priorities while considering macro balances within the framework of the determined development vision.

Strategic objectives of Ninth Development Plan are:
  • Increasing Competitiveness,
  • Increasing Employment,
  • Strengthening Human Development and Social Solidarity,
  • Ensuring Regional Development,
  • Increasing Quality and Effectiveness in Public Services.
