Annual programmes are prepared in accordance with the goals determined in Development Plans. Annual programmes include measures to realize selected policy priorities, responsible institutions and timetable for these measures. In addition, macroeconomic balance and public sector balances are set in annual programmes. Basic macroeconomic goals of the 2007 Annual Programme, which represents the first year of the Ninth Development Plan, are to continue the economic growth process through enhancing confidence and stability established in the economy, to increase the level of employment, to reduce the rate of inflation, and to attain a level of current account deficit, which is sustainable and financed by solid financing means.
